Batten Down the Hatches

I actually made this cake awhile ago, but I never posted it.... Not real sure how that happened, but I was very pleased with how it turned out, so I thought better late than never. It was a little baby boy sailing themed shower, I had so much fun making the little life preservers and the sailboat topper (which is edible: gumpaste and fondant)
I haven't really made any cakes this summer, with it being so hot, but if is definitely cooling down, so I should have some new creations very soon!
